Physical Education Teacher

Woodland Charter School, a Public Waldorf school, is seeking a vibrant physical education teacher for a half time position in 2016-17 that could potentially become a full time position in 2017-18. Our highly successful school continues to grow every year, serving children throughout Grants Pass and the Applegate Valley. 

We seek a warm, lively individual to join our harmonious Faculty Council, where we enjoy a pleasant collegial atmosphere. In the coming year, this teacher will be working with grades 3-8 to integrate the movement curriculum with the main lesson curricula for each grade. In the following year, the teacher could work with grades 1-8 in a full time schedule.

Our rural school, which opened in October 2012 with 60 students, expects an enrollment of 170 students in September 2016 in grades 1- 8. Our curriculum includes the following special subjects: Spanish Language, Music (includes choral singing and string instruments), Handwork, Woodworking, Block Eurythmy, and Games/Movement.
