Duties include: The office coordinator reports directly to the principal, acting as assistant and running the administrative office efficiently with optimal organization. The applicant must enjoy a fast-paced environment which requires multi-tasking. Further, the applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills, and feel comfortable working with children. FIRST GRADE TEACHER:
Woodland Charter School, in beautiful Murphy, Oregon, is seeking a dynamic first grade teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. We seek a Waldorf-trained teacher for a position in a public Waldorf-methods 1st through 8th grade charter school. Our school is committed to the American Waldorf curriculum as outlined by AWSNA, and to following the principles of Waldorf education as closely as possible under the law.

Our rural school, which opened in October 2012 with 60 students, expects an enrollment of 170 students in September 2016 in grades 1- 8. Our curriculum includes the following special subjects: Spanish Language, Music (includes choral singing and string instruments), Handwork, Woodworking, Block Eurythmy, and Games/Movement.

The Spanish Language position is a 3/4 time position with a stipend for medical expenses and a stipend for professional development. While we prefer a native speaker, we will accept applicants who have conversational fluency. The applicant must have a World Languages or Spanish Language concentration with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Oregon licensure is required, and we will assist those who need to seek reciprocity. Waldorf Teacher Training in World Languages or Spanish is recommended.
Spanish Language is taught to all students, grades 1-8, two days per week throughout the school year. The teacher attends the Faculty Council meeting weekly and is expected to participate on a Council Committee after the first year of teaching at the school. The Spanish teacher works four days a week, Monday through Thursday.
Our school expects an enrollment of 170 students in the Fall of 2016.
