Employment Opportunities

Woodland Charter School, located in the beautiful Siskiyou Mountains of southwest Oregon, seeks to hire outstanding educators to join our wonderful staff and learning community. WCS is proud to offer a public Waldorf curriculum to the greater Grants Pass community. We have eight stand-alone classes, first through eighth grade, with a current average class size of 22 students, and a traditional maximum class size of 25 students. Our lovely rural campus continues to expand, as we added four new classrooms in 2017 to meet the growing needs of our vibrant learning community, which includes a dedicated music room, handwork room, and resource room. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage, paid leave, the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and a stipend for professional development.

Southwest Oregon is a great place to live as well as to raise a family! The cost of living, including housing / home ownership, is affordable, the climate is mild, and the land is beautiful and varied. Local cultural events include the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, the Britt Music & Arts Festival in Jacksonville, and all the amenities of the nearby mid-size towns of Grants Pass and Medford. Our amazing local “three rivers” water system offers rafting, kayaking, and swimming for water enthusiasts, and the meeting point of the Cascade and Siskiyou Mountains offers numerous spectacular hiking opportunities, including to many accessible high peaks and the Pacific Crest Trail. Biodynamic, organic, and permaculture farms abound in this temperate zone, and we have many farmers in our school community. We are two hours from Mt. Shasta, Crater Lake, and the Oregon and California coasts and the world’s most scenic stand of redwoods, and four hours from the dynamic metropolitan area of Portland.
