Michelle “Huck” LaFave
(Oak Class)Michelle (Huck) LaFave joined the Woodland community during the school’s formative years and served as a member of the Woodland Charter Council for over two years. An active resident of the Applegate Valley for 20 years, she is an enthusiastic educator and lifelong learner with a passion for writing, math, dance, and the outdoors. In both urban and rural settings, she has years of experience working with a diverse population of children as a teacher, library assistant, homeschool group coordinator, and environmental educator. A Regents Scholar, she graduated with Honors with a major in Sociology (emphasis in Social Psychology) and a minor in Math from the University of California at Santa Cruz. She has enjoyed continuing education classes in Psychology, Health, and Environmental Studies.
