Alex Kalinske

(Games/P.E.)

Alex Kalinske graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS degree in Psychology. After working in behavioral therapy in locations throughout the Bay Area, Alex began a short stint as a long-term substitute teacher in Richmond, California. Transitioning to educative roles after-school he taught enrichment programs in science and math at local schools and tutored for an agency primary dedicated to college exams, such as the SATs, in the South Peninsula, where he was born and raised. During this time he coached basketball, a sport which during his years in university he dedicated an inordinate amount of time. On a whim, Alex took up a classroom teacher position for a fifth grade in Colorado Springs—a valuable introduction to the world of Waldorf. And a year thereafter he moved back to the West Coast, to the Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon, to teach Games and Movement here at the Woodland Charter School. In his free time Alex likes to read and hike.
